Metal Fairs & Engineering Works is a mechanical engineering workshop located on Tipu Sultan Road in Dhaka. The company was founded by Engineer S. M. Shihabur Rahman, a veteran educator in the engineering sector who holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering and a Diploma in Engineering. Motivated by a lack of high-quality engineering workshops in the local light engineering industry, he established the company with a mission to reduce import dependency by producing internationally standard spare parts and die-molds within Bangladesh.

We pride ourselves on combining engineering expertise with modern precision technology to deliver superior results. Our facility is equipped with advanced machinery, including CNC Lathe machines, CNC Milling machines, Wire Cut EDM, and laser engraving machines. We utilize a complete CAD-CAM (Computer-Aided Design and Computer-Aided Manufacturing) workflow, which allows us to design digital models with exact specifications and manufacture them with micron-level accuracy. This fully digital design-to-production process enables us to achieve faster production times, higher consistency, reduced material waste, and global-standard quality.

Our core specialization lies in the design and manufacturing of dies, molds, and custom spare parts tailored to industrial needs. We produce high-quality components such as gears, sprockets, couplings, and cams that ensure enhanced reliability and performance for machinery. In addition to general parts, we manufacture specific high-precision tools like cutting dies and creasing rollers for matchbox tray production. We also provide comprehensive solutions for rainwater harvesting by designing and manufacturing molds and final plastic water filters used in projects by organizations like UNDP and BRAC. Beyond manufacturing, we offer machine modification services to help industries upgrade or optimize their existing machinery efficiently.
